Beacon 19 Boat Ramp, Goolwa South

An adult male long-nosed fur seal was first reported sick and emaciated by the jetty at Beacon 19 Boat Ramp, Goolwa South, on 13 February. The official report records that DEW subsequently killed the animal because a veterinarian was unavailable to euthanise it.

A subadult male long-nosed fur seal was first reported south of the Glenelg breakwater on 11 February. It was still breathing but critically unwell with a cut flipper and was subsequently euthanised.

Grange Beach
